As restaurants struggled to stay open during the pandemic, cost of production increased, and ultimately so did a lot of menu prices. Finding a filling meal for under $10 in Reno ain't as easy as it used to be! Luckily there are still a few gems holding it down with awesome food for the price of a Hamilton.

Michael's is a Reno favorite. With a wide variety of sandwiches (and surprisingly delicious/massive salads) it's a wonder how they keep their prices so low. Almost all their sandwiches and salads are under $10, excluding the "Mile High" sandos.

When I saw Nick's prices, I kinda couldn't believe it. $7 for a gyro? If the food is this cheap, it must not be good? Wrong. It's bomb. While they're only open 10am - 3pm, it's worth a visit. Know that the ambiance matches the prices, but the food is good.

Everyone needs their burrito spot, and mine is Speedy Burritos. Huge portions, great flavors, and friendly (ahem, speedy) service. For your Meatless Mondays or carne-averse friends, the loaded veggie burrito with all the fixins' is a steal at $6.75.

For under $10, Beefy's serves up some wild hot dog concoctions (like the chili cheese dog, pictured above). In fact, most of their menu is under $15, which is impressive considering all their beef is sourced from the next door local butcher shop Ponderosa. While perhaps not the healthiest bang for your buck, Beefy's is the perfect meal when you need to line your belly before a boozy tromp down Virginia Street.
